About The Farm

About The Farm

60 miles outside Atlanta, Towerhouse Farm is the residence of the Summerour family. The farmland is home to livestock, plots of barley, hay, and unique events.

Our Story

Towerhouse Farm started with a vision.

The Summerour family wanted to have a place for people to appreciate farmland close to Atlanta as an escape from the life of the busy city. Towerhouse Farm is a place to relax and enjoy the slow-paced environment of the country, while immersed in our unique spaces and experiences on and around the farm.

Towerhouse Farm is blanketed in amber fields, tall pine forests, and lush banks of the Flint river. Towerhouse Farm, located one hour south of Atlanta, Georgia in the town of Gay, is an 1500-acre rural oasis that is part of a 12,000-acre perpetual land trust. This land, historically used for cattle pasture, is now a rustic retreat used by friends and family.

Architecture

The namesake structure of the farm - an extraordinary tower built using stones culled from the land, inspired in part by Civil War shot towers and the architecture of San Gimignano, Italy - keeps watch over the surrounding farmland. The buildings on the farm merge contemporary with Agro, Rustic, and Elegant style.
